FM 1-01 Basic Operations

From 25-DEC-09 to 1-AUG-10, I played EVE Online, an MMORPG set in space. It was rough starting out, and I was lucky enough to be well-funded by a generous donator in order to help get me started. It is a difficult, no-holds-barred, hardcore game meant only for those who are willing to dedicate some serious time to it.

In the course of my gameplay, I create a "help document" for my corporation (i.e., "guild"), the Active Mining Incorporated Group. I have to say, this is one of the two top corporations I had the most fun in (the other being The Scope for those who are familiar with the game). So, in order to give back to my corporation, I created a field manual based on U.S. Army manuals to help my corporation out.

At one time, this manual was hosted at www.amigcorp.com, our corps website...which seems to be dead, and the CEO hasn't contacted me in months...And since I no longer play, and my corporation seems to be dead and gone, I never saw the need to edit this document and release a second version...

Sometimes I miss it, but then I remember how horrible the randomness of the community was, and how much time out of my life I lost playing EVE...

I came back to EVE! Because it's a damn good game! And in my new corps, I've made more money and met the best bunch of people that I could have ever dreamed of!
